Prepn. of polyamines of formula (I) comprises: condensing N,N'-(aryl sulphonyl) alkane diamines (IV) with phenyl methyl carbamate derivs. (VII) in a solvent, in presence of a base, to give tetramines (VIII), which are deprotected by heating in aq. HCl in presence of phenol to obtain hydrochlorides of (I). R = (1-8C)alkyl, (3-8C)cycloalkyl-(1-4C)alkyl, benzyl, allyl or propargyl; m = 2, 3 or 4; n = 3, 4 or 5; Ar = aryl (opt. substd.). |
