The laser beam printer to select a resolution and a print speed is constructed to mutually connect a main controller with; a key input for selecting the resolution and the print speed; a drive speed selecting means for changing a drive speed; a beam power selecting means for selecting a laser beam power radiated according to the resolution; and a set temperature adjusting means for adjusting a set temperature according to the print speed.
