The inclinometer includes a spherical reservoir (3) made in two parts (1, 2) filled with a transparent electrically insulating liquid. Within the liquid there are two indices, the first of which is of sufficiently low density to float (5), whilst the second (6) is of high enough density to sink. The two indices are connected by a conducting wire (7). On the walls of the reservoir there are two scales marked to show the inclination of the device in two directions. On the same reservoir walls there are micro-electrical contacts which are able to make contact with the two indices in order to pass current.
