<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent handwriting feeling, excellent coordinate detection sensitivity, and excellent display quality and to prevent a display panel from being broken when pressed with an electronic pen. CONSTITUTION:A transparent protection plate 15 is provided on the display surface of the display panel 14 and a transparent gelled material 17 is charged between the display surface and transparent protection plate 15. Consequently, the transparent protection plate 15 can be prevented from deflecting since the transparent protection plate 15 is supported by the gelled material 17 whichever position of the transparent protection plate 15 on the display surface the electronic pen 7 is brought into contact with. The reflection of external light on the display surface can be suppressed as compared with a conventional example wherein spacers are interposed between the display surface and protection plate.</p> |
