PURPOSE:To provide the system suitable for simplified building management for a medium or small sized building, surely and easily calling a manager, and allowing the manager resident in a remote location to recognize a state in the building by connecting a line to a predetermined telephone set or a portable ring use receiver according to the state of the mode by a mode changeover means. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with a control section 12, an absence presence mode discrimination section 18, a data transmission section 20, and a data storage section 22. Furthermore, the control section 12 is connected to a private branch exchange 22 installed in a building and a public circuit network 36 and also connected to a building manager use telephone set 34. Then on the arrival of an incoming call, a caller discrimination section 14 of the control section 12 discriminates whether the call comes from a tenant user use telephone set 30 or a call from a public telephone set 38. A line connection section 16 makes line connection to the building manager use telephone set 34 or the portable ringer use receiver 40 based on to the discrimination by the absence presence mode discrimination section 18. A mode switch 24 is thrown to the position of absence or presence by the manual input of the manager.
