PURPOSE:To mount parts in safety with reliability without damage to the parts or the head mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The title electronic part mounting equipment includes an optical sensor, which detects that the end of a suction nozzle 16 or a part 10 having an average height sucked thereby is positioned at the safety level with respect to the direction of the z axis. The safety level is that higher than the highest level in the equipment within the allowable range of movement in the x and y directions. When the output of the optical sensor indicates that the end of the nozzle or part is at the safety level, it is permitted to drive motors that move the suction nozzle 16 in the directions of the x and y axes. When not, it is inhibited to drive the motors. |
