PURPOSE:To create high quality thick and thin characters maintaining their original unification and quality of all characters in a method and device for making thick and thin characters having different outline fonts. CONSTITUTION:The thickness of a stroke in each point constituting an outline font is obtained by thickness calculating means 2, the moving amount of each point is obtained by a moving amount calculating means 3 based on the thickness of each point obtained by the thickness calculating means 2, the moving direction of each point is obtained by a moving direction calculating means 4, each point is moved to a position corresponding to the moving direction and amount by a moving means 5 and thereby thick and thin characters are made. Thus, without requiring a great deal of time and labor nor creating information on the changes of character forms beforehand, high quality thick and thin characters are created with their unification intact. |
