PURPOSE:To inhibit a large amount of toner and other foreign objects, recovered by a cleaning blade, from accumulating in the part where a blade edge abuts on an image carrier, to prevent the accumulating toner and, etc., from damaging the image carrier and to obtain a satisfactory image by disposing a magnetic- field-generating means at the front end of a rake member. CONSTITUTION:In a cleaner C, its inside is divided by a partition plate 6, the turning rake member 9 with rotary vanes are provided, and the toner and other foreign objects recovered into the container 2 are stored in a storage part 7, which is further backward than the partition plate 6, by means of the rake member 9. A magnetic member 8 is provided at the front end of each of the rotary vanes of the rake member 9. Therefore, when the rake member 9 rotates and each magnetic member 8 comes near the part where the cleaning blade 3 abuts on the image carrier 1, the toner and, etc., accumulating on the abutting part are attracted and separated from the part and carried with the magnetic members 8 toward the rear of the container 2. |
