PURPOSE:To provide a copying mode setting method by which handleability is improved and a copying mode more complying with the intention of an opera tor is set. CONSTITUTION:This copying mode setting method is one for a copying machine provided with an automatic paper selection mode(APS mode), an automatic copying magnification setting mode(AMS mode) and a mode selection key selecting the APS mode or the AMS mode. In the case of receiving input from a paper selection key at the time of selecting the APS mode by the mode selection key, the AMS mode is set. Even when the operator sets the erroneous coping mode, the mode is automatically changed to the optimum copying mode based on input from a paper selecting means or a copying magnification setting means inputted thereafter, so that the handleability is improved and the copying mode more complying with the intention of the operator is set. |
