PURPOSE:To always provide a proper image depending on a selected characteristic by generating a proper image through the change and combination of output from each control means. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of image characteristics are selected with a selector means 45 via CPU. At the time of development, the charge current of a charge electrode E, an exposure light quantity from an exposure lamp 10, development bias for a development rotating sleeve 3, the transfer current of a transfer electrode 6 and the separation current of a separation electrode 7 are controlled and adjusted with a plurality of control sections 41, 43, 41, 42 and 44 via the CPU, depending upon image density. Furthermore, the value of VS/VP is added to a parameter for the preparation of image characteristics, where VS is the rotating speed of the sleeve 3 and VP is the rotating speed of a photosensitive drum 1. Also, output from a patch sensor PL is used to change a development bias application position to a position where the output agrees to the density. |
