1,068,457. Controlling fluid flow. POLITECHNIKA WARSZAWSKA. Jan. 26, 1966 [Feb. 2, 1965], No. 3506/66. Heading G3H. A fluid logic element comprises an open chamber having a number of inlet ports and an outlet port, the latter being coaxial with one of the inlet ports to receive a jet of fluid issuing therefrom. One or more of the other inlet ports are arranged so that control jets of fluid issuing therefrom disturb the said jet received by the outlet port. Other inlet ports are provided to direct jets to disturb the said control jets. In Figs. 2-7 (not shown) various arrangements of the inlet ports 1-7 are shown, with an outlet port 14. In Fig. 8, an inlet port 1 supplies outlet port 14 with a jet that can be disturbed by jets issuing from ports 4, 7, 13. Jet 4 can be disturbed by jets issuing from ports 2, 5; jet 7 can be disturbed by jets issuing from ports 6, 9 and jet 13 can be disturbed by jets issuing from ports 3, 8, 11. Further inlet ports 10, 12 are providing for disturbing jets 2, 3 and 8, 9 respectively. The inlet ports are preferably provided with resistances and the chamber preferably contains screens to eliminate vortices caused by the jets. |
