PURPOSE:To shorten drying time in a drying process so as to improve productibility by continuing mixing together and kneading an electrode active material, a conductive material, a binder, and a solvent, until the viscosity reaches its specified value by further adding solvent after the viscosity is regulat ed to a prescribed poise when those components are mixed together and kneaded. CONSTITUTION:A pulverulent body is manufactured by mixing lithium (LiCoO2 as metal compound oxide) as a positive electrode active material, black lead and acetylene black as conductive agents, and polyvinylidene fluoride as a binder. In adding a solvent so as to be mixed, and kneaded the solvent quantity is regulated so as to adjust the viscosity of the mixture at 300-600000 poise. In this case, the solvent quantity to be added is set to 20-70wt.% of all the solvent quantity to be added to the mixture and the prescribed viscosity after the solvent is mixed and kneaded, is set to 20-70 poise. Because the pulverulent body is uniformly dispersed and mixed with the solvent, a little quantity of solvent to be added further is enough to provide prescribed viscosity. Therefore, when an electrode sheet core material is coated with the obtained electrode slurry, drying time required for a drying process can be shortened. |
