PURPOSE: To improve a picture forming device for directly using an intermediate belt as a picture forming device instead of the fourth picture forming drum system in a tandem printing system. CONSTITUTION: A printing engine 91 includes a first picture forming device 80 and second picture forming drum devices 101-103. In the device 80, a corona generating device 82 charges a part 28a of a belt 28, an exposing device 84 forms a latent image 20d, an a developing device 86 develops it, and a black visible tone picture 20e is generated on the belt 28. Afterwards, tone pictures in yellow, cyan, and magenta are formed by each device 101-103, and exactly matched on the black tone picture 20e on the belt, and successively overlapped as estimated, and a four tone picture 20h is formed. In this device, one of latent images is directly formed on not the drum but the belt, and when color toner having the minimum adhesion is selected for this specific system, the loss or friction of the toner can be escaped. |
