PURPOSE:To achieve high reiability by enhancing the insulation performance at the joint of a current lead and a superconducting coil. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting coil immersed into liquid refrigerant filled in a vessel is coupled with a current lead 21 having a channel for passing gasified refrigerant through the interior of the supeconducting coil, and the current lead is fixed through a subflange 25 to a fixed flange 27 on the vessel side. In such superconducting unit, the current lead 21 is tapered at the part corresponding to the fixed flange 27 and a tapered fixing part 26 fitting to the current lead 21 is provided at the open end of the subflange 25. The current lead 21 is inserted into the opening of the subflange 25 and fixed in place while being held on the fixing part 26. |
