PURPOSE:To form the image of a desired page of a book original without forming the images of undesired pages by forming the reading images on an instructed image formation starting page and its subsequent pages. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with an image reading part 500 of 8 book original/sheet original reading device TPS, an image data processing part 102, and an image forming part 103. An image reading plate 101 which is placed at the right edge part of the scanning read page turn-over part of the device TPS is provided with a CCD. The part 102 supplies 8 drive signal to the CCD based on the reference signal supplied from the part 103 to perform such operations including the correction of the analog output signal received from the plate 101 through the conversion of the digital signal and acquires the read image data of each 8-bit dot. In this case, the right or left one of spread pages is pointed as an image formation starting page of a spread book original. Then this book original is read and the reading images are formed on the pointed image formation starting page and its subsequent pages. |
