HANDWRITTEN CHARACTER INPUT DEVICE AND DATA INPUT METHOD

PURPOSE:To keep secrecy, to improve the operability, and to reduce the size and weight of the device by storing data indicating the ID of an individual in the memory in an electronic pen, converting binary data read out of the memory into a signal varied in frequency and sending the signal to a device body, and reconverting the signal received by the device body into binary data. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of the portable electronic pen 11 and the device main body which is coupled with the electronic pen by an electromagnetic induction system. The electronic pen 11 is provided with the memory which stores the data indicating the ID of the individual such as a seal impression and a signature and an electromagnetic wave transmitting and receiving means which varies the frequency of an electromagnetic wave generated from the pen tip by using the binary data stored in the memory. The device main body is provided with a signal detecting means 18 which detects components of the frequency of the electromagnetic wave generated by the electronic pen 11 and process means 21 and 22 which change the electromagnetic wave reception system when detecting a specific frequency, and binarize the received data with the frequency of the received electromagnetic wave and store the data in the memory.
