<p>PURPOSE:To provide a heat source detector for detecting the position or the moving direction of a heat source accurately without requiring cryogenic cooling of an element in an infrared sensor. CONSTITUTION:The heat source detector comprises an infrared sensor 1 comprising an array of infrared detecting section 7 for focusing an infrared image through an infrared lens 10, and an infrared analytic section 2 for analyzing a signal detected at the infrared detecting section 7. The infrared detecting section 2 comprises a section 3 for detecting the infrared intensity at each detecting section 7, a section 5 for determining the center of gravity of an infrared heat source based on the infrared intensity detected at the detecting section 3, and a section 6 for determining the moving direction of heat source based on the vector displacement with time of the center of gravity determined at the detecting section 5.</p> |
