PURPOSE:To realize a simple copy command and input operation similar to that on a platen of a conventional copying machine even under the environment of the distributed system. CONSTITUTION:When a copying machine connecting to a LAN 10 is selected, an output enable size inquiry section 5a inquires of the selected copying machine about a maximum paper size able to be outputted to acquire paper size information and gives it to an output edit section 5b. When an original to be copied is selected, an electronic original size extract section 5c extracts the original size and gives it to an output edit section 5b as original size information. The output edit section 5b displays a virtual platen resulting from emulating a platen of the copying machine based on the paper size information in a predetermined reduction rate and displays an electronic original icon corresponding to the electronic original based on the original size information, executes edit such as movement to the electronic original icon on the virtual platen and provides an output of the edit result to a job generating section 7, which generates jobs including the edit result. |
