The bench has two flat plates (1a,1b) which are joined together by two hinges (3a,3b) to form a seat which is curved inwards. The seat is supported by two wide flat legs (2a,2b) whose upper edges are hollowed in V-shapes and joined to the plates by hinges (3c,3d). The legs are only joined to one plate (1a) of the seat, and the axes of their hinges are perpendicular to the length of the seat. Their hollowed edges are sloped towards the outer edge of the seat so that the legs can be opened wider than vertically.
