A laminated printing sheet (10) includes a sheet of synthetic paper (12) rem ovably adhered by an adhesive (14) to one side of a polypropylene sheet (16). A paper backing sheet (18) is adhered to the oppos ite side of the polypropylene sheet (16) by an adhesive (20). The adhesive (14) is partially activated. The polypropylene sheet (16) is bi axially orientated. The surface of the polypropylene she et (16) facing the paper is modified by corona discharge treatment. The laminated pr inting sheet is used to produce identity cards and docum ents.
