A method for making a pot holder by wrapping a flexible material (2) around the outside of a container (1) by means of a mould (3a), and folding the material onto the inner surface of said container (1) where it is held in place by an inner fastener (4) such as a second container, a ring or an adhesive. The resulting pot holder is particularly suitable for flower or plant pots.
