The forging machine incorporates a cruciform arrangement of rams (2) located in the same plane and provided with tools mounted on tool carriers (17) which allow, in combination with adjusting and locking mechanisms, the tools to be adjusted in a direction perpendicular to the ram axis. The tool carriers (17) are provided on their sides with teeth (40) oriented perpendicular to the adjustment direction. Engageable / disengageable locking pieces (42), which on the rams are fixed in the adjustment direction, interact with these teeth.
