Safety device for roller shutters with horizontal armour slats

The roller shutter is (un)wound onto a rotary shaft in a roller shutter box by a spring leaf mechanism (20). With the lowered roller shutter the slats are engaged by locking elements (25), with one firmly located on the box front inner side as a toothing. Another element is movably brought into contact with the spring leaf suspension, releasable only by the shaft rotation for winding of the roller shutter. On the spring leaves (22) are located self-movable locking elements in the form of a bar- or tooth-shaped component (24), engaging the fixed locking element.
