<p>The present invention relates to a method for reproducing images from precessionary art. The method comprises the steps of converting a piece of precessionary art to a multi-bit pixel depth bitmap, defining a multi-pixel cell (C1) having particular dimensional attributes from the bitmap, determining a gray level for the multi-pixel cell, dividing the multi-pixel cell into two groups (B1, B2) of alternating pixels with a first one of the groups (B1) being nominally on and a second one of the groups (B2) being nominally off, and deriving a reproduction cell (D) depicting a maximum apparent gray from the multi-pixel cell having the two groups (B1, B2) of alternating pixels. Each cell's gray level is converted into an actual number of pixels in the reproduction cell (D) to be filled in black, such pixels being arranged in a checkerboard pattern.</p> |
