Suture packaging

The packaging for sewing material, especially surgical sutures, has a material sheet folded into a number of overlaid plates (2,32) with the suture material (16) between them. The plates (2,32), with the sutures (16) between them, are pressed together (60) with spring elasticity so that the plates (2,32) are lightly pressed against the sutures (16) to prevent any slipping. The spring pressure unit (60) is of foam plastics.
