<p>A garbage disposing device comprises a collapsible open-ended main body (10) having an upper end face (11) inclined at such an angle ( theta 1). A flat box-shaped member (16) for partitioning the inside of the main body (10) into a plurality of vertical chambers, is provided having a top end (16a) thereof which protrudes above the main body (10). The member (16) has a plurality of perforations (18) for allowing water to drain from the chambers. An opening/closing lid (23) is hinged on the upper side of the main body so as to lie on the upper end face in a downwardly inclined slope whereby water condensing on the underside of the lid can flow towards an edge (23a) thereof. Water evaporated from garbage can be discharged outside of the device through the perforations (18) of the flat box-shaped member (16) and water condensated on the inner surface of the opening/closing lid can be introduced along the inclined surface of the lid (23) and then collected into a water receiving port (20) or into the grooves (50) of the main body (10) when constructed from a corrugated plastics material. A plurality of partitioned chambers can be used alternately and continuously for effective disposal of the garbage. <IMAGE></p>
