An autoleveller for a drawframe has a measuring sensor at the inlet to the drawzone which alters the draft on the sliver to correct any weight variations present in the input. The measuring signal (x) produced by the input sensor (4,5) is modified (y) according to the drawframe operating conditions to correct for effects arising from these conditions.
