Yarn supply to textile machine esp. for false twist texturising machine

A multiposition textile machine has a supply creel consisting of a framework for a multitude of single bobbin carriers. The carriers are freestanding, have a support for a single bobbin and are self contained transport units. Pref. a bobbin (3) is held in a carrier on a slanting peg (41) supported by a floor plate (61) and a back plate (51). The carrier is placed in the creel in sliding rails (12,13) which are built into the creel framework (9,10). The bobbins are loaded into the carriers as a separate operation away from the creel. The floor plate (61) of each carrier has clips to hold the yarn start and yarn end while it is being transported. The yarn is knotted in on the creel, either by hand or automatically.
