<p>Ship propulsion device, comprising a nozzle (1) secured to the ship, a pulsation unit (9) movably mounted in said nozzle, and an engine (2) for moving said pulsation unit in the nozzle, wherein said pulsation unit is movable into an open position in which it repels water when it is moved backwards in the nozzle, and a closed position in which it allows water to flow when it is moved forwards in the nozzle. When in the open position, the pulsation unit fills 25 to 99 %, and preferably 60 to 90 % of the inner volume of the nozzle, said pulsation unit being made of a resilient material.</p> |
