The battery (10) is coupled to a voltage regulator (11) with an ignition switch (12) coupled into the line. The regulator provides a high current output (SH) and a low current output (CL). The high current output connects with a block containing peripheral units, while the other output connects with the (PU(14a) and RAM memory (14b). The processor module is connected by a switch (S1) that is closed when a logic element (15) indicates that the ignition is on.
