Adjusting wedge for vehicle coupling

The wedge comprises a body (1) with a trapezoidal external contour at the top and longitudinal slides (5), of the same length and orientation, projecting at an angle to each other. Each slide carries on its outside a longitudinal rail (8) which is movable in the slide against the forces exerted by flexible parts interposed between the slide and the rail. The flexible parts are of elastomer, rubber, plastic or springs. Each longitudinal slide has a longitudinal guide rib (6) which engages in a longitudinal groove in the rail. The guide rib has a height such that the groove is able to receive it with a play according to the coupled state of the longitudinal rail. The longitudinal rails are fixed to the slides by bolts (10) able to slide relative to the slides.
