The mat-like semi-finished material (5,9) is formed from several layers, like a sliding mat. The sliding forces between the individual layers resulting from transversal strength and/or friction, are small relative to the tractional strength of these layers. A relatively thin fibre fleece layer with duromer binding agent, is made, and has at least 40% of the final density of the part. Several length of layers are stacked or folded, maintaining the density. The stack is warm pressed in a heated tool, and retained in the tool for a period of less than 70% of the required hardening time for the duromer material. The still warm part is transferred into a heated tool, and is hardened.
