The modular cell case includes a base and four walls, with an open top allowing access. Connectors are provided along the four walls allowing electrical connection through the walls. Within the cell there is a hybrid microelectronic circuit (300-302). This includes a processor for detected signals (302), a data memory (301) and a microprocessor (300). Also within the cell there are detectors for physical parameters such a temperature, acceleration and vibration. The cell itself is made from a ceramic material.
