The low density polyethylene 70%, ceramic powder which was the abrasive and polishing agent 10%, and foamer(sodium sulfate) 20% were mixed and melt-extruded to chips. The chips were mixed with the peppermint oil and then the foaming agent of synthetic resin 0.1% was added to them for obtaining the porous nylon filament with extrusion. The ceramic powder was manufactured by calcining the mixture of silica powder 70% and alumina 30% at 1,300-1,400≦̸C. The toothbrush filaments made of low density polyethylene are flexible in warm water but hard in cold water.
