PURPOSE:To provide a preparation for silage production containing lactic bacte ria such as Lactobacillus casei subsp. rhamnosus, acting even at a elevated temperatures, proliferating in a short time to reduce the pH value of silages, thus capable of giving high-quality silages with the proliferation of butyric bacteria suppressed. CONSTITUTION:Lactobacillus casei subsp. rhamnosus SBT-2300 strain (FERM P-13245), Lactobacillus salivarius subsp. salivarius SBT-2670 strain (FERM P-13247) and Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. lactis SBT-2664 strain (FERM P-13246) are inoculated into respective media and cultured at 35 deg.C for 16hr, and the resultant cultured products are inoculated into a broth medium and cultured at 35 deg.C for 24hr. An equal amount of a 24% sucrose solution is then mixed with the media followed by adsorbing the cultured products to corn grits or wheat flour using a fluidizing dryer to carry out drying, thus obtaining the objective lactic bacteria preparation having the above-mentioned advantages. |
