PURPOSE: To obtain a control device for defrosting, which is capable of regulating a defrosting period of time after restoring from the condition of service interrupt, in accordance with the length of period of the service interrupt. CONSTITUTION: Upon the generation of a service interrupt, the period of time for service interrupt is counted by a service interrupt timer 9 utilizing a backup battery 7 and the service interrupt is decided whether the same is instantaneous service interrupt or long time service interrupt, and when the same is an instantaneous service interrupt, the timer is not reset by the backup battery 7 and defrosting operation is effected, while being operated through normal operation. When the same is a long time service interrupt, a reset signal is applied on the timer device to set the timer in the initial condition of the same, only when a predetermined period of time has elapsed. According to this method, the defrosting operation is carried out with the normal defrosting period of time upon the instantaneous service interrupt, while defrosting is effected through natural defrosting upon long time service interrupt, whereby the timer is initialized and the defrosting period of time is counted from the beginning. |
