PURPOSE:To prepare the title cosmetics non-irritant to the skin, having high safety and affinity, excellent storage stability and emulsion stability, and good appearance, by the use of two kinds of specific compounds and without using synthetic surface active agents. CONSTITUTION:A creamy or milky lotion cosmetic composition containing a glycyrrhizic acid derivative of formula I (A, A', A'' are H, Na, K, NH4, alkalnolamine cation), e.g. glycyrrhizic acid, its monosodium salt, disodium salt, monopotassium salt, monoethanolamine, etc., (W); a water-soluble polysaccharide, e.g. pectin, karaya gum, fuajac gum, locust bean gum, xanthan gum, etc. (X); an oily substance (Y), and water (Z). The amount of each component in the composition is, pref. W=0.01-20 wt%, Z=0.1-10 wt%, Y=5-90 wt%, and Z=10-90 wt%. |
