PURPOSE:To smoothly start a match by avoiding an operation error of a game player at the game starting time, and start a race by a method entirely different from a conventional drive game in a starting method of a drive game in an electronic game apparatus. CONSTITUTION:After initial positions and initial speeds of respective match cars are preset according to courses, travel conditions at the initial speeds from the initial positions are displayed as an initial image screen. Until a start is permitted thereafter, speeds of the respective match cars are respectively adjusted (step S11 to S14) so that the respective match cars travel in line on the courses, and the travel conditions are displayed as a match starting image screen, and when operation of a driving operating part by a game player is not fitted for the adjusted speeds, that effect is informed (step S15 to S19) of the game player, and when the start is permitted, a match of a drive game is started. |
