PURPOSE:To obtain an antifoam useful for defoaming a drink such as coffee in a wide temperature range from a low temperature to a high temperature, comprising a glycerol unsaturated fatty acid ester, a sorbitan saturated fatty acid and an emulsifying agent for foods, liquid at a normal temperature as essential components. CONSTITUTION:This antifoam comprises (A) 5-40wt.% of a glycerol unsaturated fatty acid ester (preferably 30-50 deg.C melting point), (B) 5-40wt.% of a sorbitan saturated fatty acid and (C) 20-90wt.% of an emulsifying agent for foods (acetylated glycerol monolauric ester) and/or edible fats and oils (colza oil) liquid at a normal temperature as essential components. A drink such as coffee packed in a positive-pressure can be prevented from spouting out simultaneously with opening of a can by foaming through shaking. |
