A concentrated system (I), in an apolar medium, comprises (by wt.): (i) 40-90 (pref. 45-80)% an apolar suspension medium or vehicle (II); (ii) 0.5-55 (pref. 2-50)% a thickener (III) for aq. media, which does not thicken (II); (iii) 0.5-15 (pref. 1-10)% a thickener for (II), consisting of a mixt. of a multicatenary surfactant (IV) soluble or dispersible in (II), and an organic acid salt (V) which is insoluble in (II), wt. ratio (IV):(V) being 60-99.5:40-0.5 (pref. 80-99:20-1); (iv) a polar component (VI), introduced using another component of (I), which solubilises 1-80 (pref. 5-50)% (V); and opt. (v) 0.5-15% of an agent (VII) which emulsifies (II) in water or aq. media. |
