PURPOSE:To eliminate the dispersing work of an ultraviolet absorber and to enhance light fastness and head matching properties by adding a resin containing an ultraviolet absorbing molecule in its molecule to a thermal color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:A resin, for example, perfectly saponified polyvinyl alcohol containing an ultraviolet absorbing molecule, for example, a molecule having a benzophenone molecular structure in its molecule is added to a thermal color forming layer containing a colorless or light-colored leuco dye and a coupler of the leuco dye. This resin having the ultraviolet absorbing molecule in its molecule may be provided on the thermal color forming layer and can be also provided as the layer under the thermal color forming layer. As the coupler, an electron acceptive compd, for example, 4,4'-isopropylidene diphenol is used. |
