PURPOSE:To obtain an abrasion resistance improving agent containing a polyurethane, an oxidized polyethylene, a fluororesin, an ethylene urea and an organosiloxane as main components and effective for imparting excellent smoothness, abrasion resistance, etc., to a cloth. CONSTITUTION:This treating agent capable of imparting a cloth with excellent abrasion resistance and flexural fatigue resistance and having low foaming tendency can be produced by compounding (A) a polyurethane (e.g. a resin composed of a polycarbonate polyol and an aliphatic polyisocyanate), (B) an oxidized polyethylene having a molecular weight of 1,000-7,000, (C) a fluororesin selected from tetrafluoroethylene polymer, chlorotrifluoroethylene polymer, etc., (D) an ethylene urea of formula I (R is an aromatic or aliphatic hydrocarbon group; (n) is 0, 1 or 2; the terminal of R is H when n=0) and (E) one or more kinds of organopolysiloxanes selected from dimethylpolysiloxane, diphenylpolysiloxane, modified polysiloxane of formula II (R1 to R4 each is CH3, OH, COOH, NH2, phenyl, etc.; (m) and (n) each is >=1), etc. The agent is effective for preventing the generation of fluffs and fibrillation and improving the durability of the cloth. |
