PURPOSE: To rapidly and nearly completely mix liquids in a vessel by moving a mixing element 2 in a direction heading toward a liquid surface, detecting a liquid surface at which the mixing element comes into contact with the liquid, moving the mixing element to a prescribed distance from the liquid surface and blowing a gas from the mixing element to the liquid surface so as to start the liquid. CONSTITUTION: One liquid and at least one another liquid or at least one solid material are mixed by using at least one gas beam generated from the mixing element 2 in the vessel 4 which is accessible through one opening. At this time, the mixing element 2 is moved in the direction heading toward the liquid 9 surface and the liquid 9 surface where the mixing element 2 comes into contact with the liquid 9 is detected. The mixing element 2 is then moved to the prescribed distance from the liquid 9 surface and the gas is blown to the liquid 9 surface from the mixing element 2 in such a manner that the liquid 9 is started. Consequently, the liquids may be rapidly and nearly completely mixed in the vessel even when there are different liquid levels. |
