In an injection moulding machine having mechanical means for opening and closing a mould 13<SP>1</SP>, opening of the mould pressurizes hydraulic means 7, 11 for operating an injection piston 20. The movable part of the mould 13<SP>1</SP> is connected by rods 13 (Fig. 1, not shown), to a bridge piece 15<SP>11</SP> which is moved to and fro by pivoted linkage 15<SP>1</SP>, 15<SP>111</SP> operated by an eccentric 5. The eccentric 5 is driven through a worm drive 2, 3 by an electric motor 1. The worm drive also drives a cam disc 4 which cooperates with a pivoted lever 6 to withdraw the injection piston 20 and simultaneously pressurize fluid in a reservoir 11. The injection stroke of the piston 20 is effected when the cam disc 4 is in such a position that the hydraulic piston 7 can be moved to the right by means of the pressure in reservoir 11. |
