<p>PURPOSE:To make the thrust direction positioning of a multiple butterfly valve rotating shaft highly accurate and prevent its backlash while making a device lightweight. CONSTITUTION:An intake control device for a multiple cylinder internal combustion engine includes a valve body forming an intake passage communicated with each cylinder of a multiple cylinder internal combustion engine, a rotating shaft journalled piercing the valve body, a butterfly valve 21 supported to the rotating shaft and disposed at each intake passage so as to open/close the intake passage, and a regulating means for regulating the axial movement of the rotating shaft. In this case, the rotating shaft 21a and the butterfly valve 21 are integrally formed of resin material, and the valve body is formed of resin material. The regulating means is formed of an expanded piece 21b integrally formed at the rotating shaft and enlarged in the radial direction, a contact wall 24 formed at the valve body so as to support the expanded piece 21b slidably in contact, and an elastic energizing member 33 for energizing the expanded piece 21b so as to come in contact with the contact wall 24.</p> |
