PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorant with which easy reproduction of an adsorption capacity is possible and which is excellent in acid resistance and heat resistance. CONSTITUTION:This deodorant is composed of zeolite consisting of SiO2/Al2O3 in a ratio of >=8, alumina and noble metal. The noble metal catalysis is activated by heating and the malodorous materials in the air are deodorized. The adsorption capacity of the zeolite is regenerated by oxidation decomposition of the odorous materials adsorbed on the zeolite. Effective deodorization is executed by forming the deodorant in the form of a catalyst film on the front surface of a quartz or glass body contg. an electric resistor.
