<p>PURPOSE:To supply high temp. flux into a mold without input by rising a vessel incorporating the flux with a supporting column and turning over the vessel by the action of a rack and a pinion, at the time of supplying the high temp. flux into a mold in an electroslag melting apparatus. CONSTITUTION:At the time of producing a high purity metal by energizing and melting a metallic electrode 10 through molten slag in the copper-made water-cooling mold 9 with the refining action through the molten slag, the flux 13 for forming the molten slag is supplied into the mold 9 in the high temp. condition. In this case, the vessel 12 incorporating the high temp. flux is fixed on a supporting table 1 and risen along the supporting column 1 with an air cylinder and the supporting table 3 is turned over together with the flux incorporated vessel 12 by engaging the pinion 4 fitted to the supporting table 3 with the rack 2 arranged at the upper end of the supporting column 1. The high temp. flux in the vessel 12 is automatically charged into the mold 9 through a chute 8 without using the input.</p> |
