This invention pertains to substances used to treat hypertension. To prolong the hypotensive effect of medication the following intravenous composition of foridon is suggested, mass %: foridon 0.009-0.011;ethyl alcohol 20.0-30.0;sodium hydrogen phosphate 0.5-0.7;potassium dihydrogen phosphate 0.1-0.15;water for the rest.Applying this composition the hypotensive effect reaches a maximum in 1-2 minutes and stays for twenty four hours, i.e. starts to have an effect ten times faster and stays for a longer period of time in comparison to oral application of foridon. The medication solution is stable (2.5 years at 20 degrees C).
