UNIVERSAL PORTABLE SHEARS

The proposed shears (fig. 1) can be used to cut metal structures at car accidents. They consist of twin cutting blades (1), hydraulic cylinder (2), and hydraulic cylinder control block (3). The essence of this invention: the strengthening rib(s) is formed with two (or three) deepening pockets at the back surface of the blades so that the median of either rib passes through the rotation axis of a blade with respect to hydraulic cylinder body and does not form a sharp angle with the blade base sideways. There are several realization variants suggested for the invention: the first and second strengthening ribs are parallel; the cutting edge behind the teeth is in the form of a cutting band; holes at the tip of either blade to strengthen contracting elements; the toothed cutting edge is fitted with flat spots.<IMAGE>
