A retractable ball-point pen has an elastic synthetic plastic barrel (1) provided on the external surface thereof with a heart-shaped groove (5). A telescoping cap (2) is provided with an internal groove 3 to capture the ball 4 running in the groove (5). In a modification (Fig. 4), the cap is screwed on to a metal guide sleeve in which the internal groove and an internal axial rib are formed. The rib engages in an axial groove open at its outer end in the outside of the barrel (1). The guide sleeve has at its inner end a shoulder serving as a stop for the cap when the latter is screwed on. |
